Discover, Feel & Do - PRIDE 2025

Pride Month is a time to honour the LGBTQIA+ individuals who have shaped culture, sparked change, and defied expectations.

To help you narrow down how to celebrate this year, we’ve picked out one thing to discover, feel, and do this month.

Each recommendation has been pulled from the work our partners at the Dr. Martens Foundation do to celebrate and empower the LGBTQIA+ community. That means they all come with an added dose of purpose.

Discover: with Mark Gevisser’s bestseller: ‘The Pink Line’

From activists in Egypt to teens in the American Midwest, The Pink Line follows the lives of LGBTQIA+ people from nine countries. Through each of their raw and unfiltered stories, discover what it really means to be queer in different corners of the world.

This pick comes from Outright International - a global force dedicated to making the lives of LGBTQIA+ people better everywhere. Whether it's through grassroots partnerships or United Nation’s assemblies, they’re advocating for the rights of LGBTQIA+ communities worldwide.

Feel - Whos There.jpg

Feel: with ‘Who’s There’, a short film

‘Who’s There’ tells the story of a man who spent his life hiding in plain sight - first in Malawi, then in the UK – and reminds us that freedom isn’t just a place but a feeling. Take two minutes to feel what happens when connection sparks courage.

This film is inspired by the work that Micro Rainbow does to support LGBTQIA+ refugees. From safe housing to social events to employment workshops, they’re giving LGBTQIA+people who have had to leave everything they know behind the tools they need to rebuild their lives.

Do: Celebrate 20 Years of UK Black Pride

From a small gathering in Southend-on-Sea to the world’s largest celebration for Global Majority LGBTQIA+ people – journey through Queer Britain’s latest exhibition. Curated alongside UK Black Pride and their founder Phyll Opoku-Gyimah (Lady Phyll), it charts the power of community, joy and unapologetic self-expression.

Queer Britain is the UK’s first national LGBTQIA+ museum. Through exhibitions, archives and community collaborations, they’re platforming the stories we don’t hear, helping people connect with who they are and sparking conversations that move us all forward.
